Container for the Toroid System

STRECON is also offering prestressing tools for the Toroid HPS system. In general, the tool design is similar to the stripwound container used in the belt type system, but the containers are much smaller and designed for optimal prestressing of the carbide inserts. The prestressing tool made by stripwinding is approx. twice as strong as a normal compression ring.

One tool set consists of two stripwound containers with carbide inserts, which are facing each other and creates a high-pressure cell when pressed together in the high-pressure press. Specific design considerations and calculations are required in each case.
