Prestressing tool solutions and precision forming tools and dies consisting of high-strength stripwound containers made by the stripwinding technique.

The STRECON Containers are made of a unique steel strip material. This material allows the containers to achieve twice the strength of conventional tool systems that rely on steel die compression rings (also called forming die holders, stress rings, reinforcement rings, etc.).

The high strength of the containers is a direct result of the stripwinding technique, which ensures that the containers remain fully elastic even at max process pressure.

This product feature offers exclusive advantages such as extended service life of the forging tool and forging dies, and a prestressing tool that can be reused numerous times at full capacity.

The STRECON tool systems are mostly used for precision forging applications, including cold forging dies (also known as cold heading tools) and warm forging dies, as well as comparable metal forming tools.

The tools are available as standalone prestressing systems, or as ready-to-go solutions assembled with high-quality forging dies from our partner I. Penkert Metallbearbeitungs GmbH.
